翻译父子之亲，夫妇之道，天性也。虽有患祸，犹蒙死而存之。诚爱结于心，仁厚之至也，岂能违之哉！自今子首匿父母，妻匿夫，孙匿大父母，皆勿坐。其父母匿子，夫匿妻，大父母匿孙，罪殊死，皆上请廷尉以闻。

True love is established in the heart, and it is the ultimate in benevolence and kindness. How can we violate it? From now on, if a son hides his parents, a wife hides her husband, or a grandson hides his grandparents, they shall not be punished. However, if parents hide their children, husbands hide their wives, or grandparents hide their grandchildren, the crime is as serious as death, and they shall be reported to the court for trial.
